The King of Freaks

Oh boy, I've been on this for 3 months (guess I took too many pauses), I really hoped to have it finished by the end of 2022, but here we are.

I started this whole project at my artschool back in 2019, I've put all my heart and efforts into it at the point that even if many years have passed, sometimes I still find myself thinking about it, figuring out new things on the story, developing ideas, collab-ing with amazing people, imagining new scenes... and this was one of those scenes. Black Rabbit, sitting on White Phantom's throne, with Alice on his side and hints of the other characters all over the place, filling the rest of the piece.
I had to go through all the previous concepts once again, to be sure not to miss any detail while figuring out the composition, and so I obviously got overwhelmed by memories, from when this whole project started to the present day.

Welcome to the Freakshow

Working on the lineart in multiple layers, so I can move and adjust all the elements more easily. Taking a few things I already made from the previous concepts saved me some time

With the lineart all done and everything in place, it's time for the base flat colors
